last week was stellar.

colleen brought some west coast flare and got me so stoked for hangs once she moves back to nyc in october. you'll find us in the dark corner of kate's joint feasting on vegan goodies and slugging cheap bottles of wine. other notables: becca and monster snuggles. jiscilla, bbq at katrin's, beach adventures with lauren ashley. all fully fantastic. i'm a lucky girl to have such great friends, and to keep meeting more and more…people i didn't get to see enough of this week: perry and ang. however per and i will hopefully remedy that with a summer friday drinking sess at the end of this week. HELLO LABOR DAY!!!

i dj'ed for a bit at trainwreck last tuesday. EEEEKKKKKKKKK. t'm such a nervous nelly. i got to use Scratch a lot more and using vinyl feels 100 times better than cds. i think i'm actually starting to improve and no one seemes to notice (or care) that i suck, so i guess that's a good sign. i REALLY wish i could practice at home…for hours and hours. i could be totally pro right now. turntables and mixer: do want.

things to be excited about:

• MY NEW BOOTS!: wearing said boots with an array of colored knee high socks. i'm digging into my roots kids, remember when your tshirts matched your scrunchy AND your socks? I'll be the fall american apparel version of that. kinda, but not really. only better. hello comfort.
• FALL! i've never been excited about fall in. my. life. i have no idea what changed. its very possible its that i've just lost my tolerance for the smell of hot trash…i'm not sure
• DIETING!: WHAT?! no. this is insane. but seriously after labor day i'm going to be a changed woman. no more sucking down soda and shoving cheeseburgers down my throat. i promise to be a responsible eater this winter….that means simmering down on the booze intake. rum and cokes we're are SO over and weight watchers here i come! false: here WE come. some friends are doing it with me…

wait that's it? I can only think of 3 things to be excited about? one of which is a lack of cheeseburgers? oof.
