holy whoa, what a week!

after work on saturday i travel up to RI for the night to see my FULLY missed homies. this weekend was st mary’s feast, which is basically cranston’s highest holiday so it was a PERFECT time to drop in for a visit. the whole 24 hours was epicly RI. cheep beer, calzones, pasta, card games, del’s, dance parties, sox talk, funk cover bands, old ladies pole dancing, chugging beers in the street. i would expect nothing less.

(things I am totally over..a 7 hour commute back to the city with no ipod or book. just. wow.)

last night a helped dj-ed at TRAINWRECK for a bit. oof. definitely faced two terrible dj challenges; equipment that’s not working properly and an empty bar. OOF. BUT i powered through. luckily i have the best friends on the planet who stuck around AND laid down a pretty serious dance party for me. some random girl was celebrating her birthday and was stoked beyond belief on my justin timberlake plays. her and her friends had a blast so that made me happy. the highlight for me was playing “just a girl” (which is a very fitting for a girl dj right?l) as an homage to my absent parent in crime, a notorious gwen fanatic. i pulled a full on flip out/ jump fest in the booth. i felt like i looked the same way sarah did the first time i got to see her spin my chem. i remember feeling SO stoked to be on the dance floor and loving the party so much because she was clearly having a blast. it’s a damn good feeling to have the other way around as well……i’m still a nervous ball of crap when i dj, but hopefully that will fade soon. (oh man, i think i just had an official “moment”)

also, just saying. MCS TONIGHT! excited doesn’t even begin to sum up how i feel about this band. there will be filp outs for sure. ohh and i miss brooooseph jesse like whoa, so it will be good to have him back in town for a night. (TEAM GEAH!)

remember that feeling i was talking about before? dimitry rocks it that hard for every song. dude is STOKED to be a dj and i love his parties because of it.

NAILS DID put their LA tee on sale yesterday. and guess who already bought hers. THIS GIRL. i am absolutely in love with this shirt.

once it comes my wardrobe will simply be a rotation of it and my trainwreck tee. OH WHAT?!? i forgot to mention i designed a TRAINWRECK tee. holy whoa! it’s amazing (if i do say so myself) coming soon to the angels and kings webstore. get into it.

open letter to who ever tagged “you were the last good thing about this part of town” in the small bathroom at AK: you made me laugh out loud while on the toilet and for that you should be celebrated. i have a sweet “grand theft autumn” remix i want to play at AK for you…please identify yourself. lurve, erica
